observational thoughts on a long car trip
sometimes i feel like mama has a weak character, only because she becomes dis-attached, caught in her own landscape, and the lost look in her eyes causes me to believe that her will breaks. but then at other times, maybe in public or when infuriated, she cares so much that she exhausts herself and eventually has to retreat into some far off place marked by her absent silence.
